Starry Sun

We want our teachers to be happy to come to school so we work very hard to make LACP be a fun place to be! We have staff luncheons, birthday recognitions at staff meetings and Teacher Appreciation every month just to name a few things.

The Teacher Work Schedule begins with Orientation the third week of August and runs until the week after the last day of school in May for clean-up. Staff arrive at school between 8:15 and 8:30 and are finished with their day between 2:45 to 3:00. LACP does follow McKinney ISD for the same Thanksgiving, Christmas and Spring Break. Perfect schedule if you have children in public school!

We also have flexible work days available. Teachers can choose between two, three and fives days a week depending on the hiring needs for the school year. We also offer Summer Camps during June and July for additional hours.

In order to work in a state licensed preschool, there may be 24 hours of Pre-Service training required before beginning employment. Also, as requirement, staff will be trained in CPR/ First Aid, and clear an FBI background check before being allowed in the classroom. 24 hours of required continuing education are accomplished during the school year as well.

So, if you love working with young children, want to have fun and teach about Jesus – this is the place for you!

Please fill out the Employment Application or contact the office at 469-408-1936. We will be in touch with you soon! Thank you for you interest in our school and God bless!
